  2. Introduction • The Internet has become an increasingly important feature of today's education. More and more schools are using the Internet to access an enormous amount of resources from all over the world. This presentation will address the main benefits of using the Internet as an educational tool.

  3. Benefits of using the Internet • Access the World-Wide Web educational resources • Improves communication • Promotes anytime anywhere learning • Internet as a teaching tool • Reinforce learning

  4. Quickly search for appropriate materials for school assignments Access to educational resources including museum and art galleries Educational and cultural exchanges between students world-wide Access to experts in many fields for students Access to World-Wide Web

  5. Ability to interact with people around the world using text, audio, or video (asynchronous and synchronous communication). Improves Communication

  6. The web provides availability to everyone regardless of geography, resources, disability, gender, income, national origin and race. Students can communicate with teachers or other students outside the classroom and in the other side of the world. Not only can students gain knowledge from others, but they can share their work with others as well. Promotes Anytime Anywhere Learning

  7. Provides Tutorials Web Quests Online Activities Online Projects Bring experts from numerous fields into the classroom Internet as a Teaching Tool

  8. The Internet makes learning fun. It provides exposure to simulations and virtual tours of museums, cities, and foreign countries. The internet reinforce students learning by using all their sense: (auditory, tactile, kinesthetic, and visual) Reinforce Learning

  9. Conclusion • In conclusion the purpose of Internet use in schools is to raise educational standards to promote student achievement.
