Why Executive Coaching? Simply put, executive coaching helps to balance the competing priorities and stress in an executive's world. Stress is a serious drain on top organizational talent. A recent study by the US Mental Health Awards showed that 93% of executives reported moderate to high levels of stress in their work and 80% felt stress negatively impacted their productivity. Each month major publications such as Time, Fortune and Harvard Business Review are publishing client testimonials about the success of coaching within the workplace. Motorolahas estimated that for every dollar it spends on coaching its people, they are achieving $30 back in increased sales and retention of customers. More and more organizations are using coaching to mitigate the losses incurred from the impact of stress on executives. Coaching helps executives strive for more without becoming overwhelmed with a trusted partner in their success.
The Howatt Approach Howatt HR’s Executive Coaching program is unique and measureable. The relationship between Howatt HR clients and their coach is one based on trust, openness and the true desire to see substantial growth in their careers. We expect the best from our clients in this partnership (just as our clients do of us) and we give honest and practical advice. At the end of the day, we respect that our clients’ work and lives are theirs to manage. We work with them to design and develop practical strategies and tactical plans to reach their goals.
Coaching Effectiveness By retaining a coach, the executive is making a statement to their team, employees, colleagues and, essentially, anyone close to them in both their personal and professional lives, that they see room for growth and assistance. In addition to positive impacts on employee performance, including productivity, output and focus, coaching provides: • Alignment with organizational strategy • Clear goals and regular follow up • Confidential resource for difficult issues • Personal support • A place for the executive to reflect • Review of behavior patterns • Drive to a new personal best • Resolution of specific performance issues • Improved adaptability to change • Faster career progression • Improved retention of subordinates • Improved leadership & management skills • Delivery of more innovative & practical solution

No One Benefits From Your Playing Small We ask our coaching clients to come prepared – prepared to work and to change. Prepared to expand what they are willing to do. We ask a lot of our executive coaching clients. Not too much, but certainlymore than they may have been willing to ask of themselves in the past and always in accordance with their stated agendas. We expect our coaching clients to be willing to experiment with fresh approaches and be open to redesigning the parts of their lives that are not serving them, their values and their visions. We often ask our clients to (or be willing to): • Re-Visit Assumptions/Decisions They’ve Made • Tell The Absolute Truth In Every Situation • Eradicate All Triggers of Adrenaline • Raise Personal Standards • Stop Tolerating Certain Aspects of Their Lives • Learn & Try New Things • Change Behavior • Experiment & Try New Things • Remove Unnecessary Sources of Stress • Redesign How They Spend Their Time • Create a Bigger Vision • Communicate with Others More Effectively
