Zatz9/22/03 • Objective: To create a collaborative environment in the NSTX control room • Shared graphics, movies, logbook etc among control room computers, display wall • Establish a Gbit speed LAN in control room • Link up Macs and PCs (Xterms excluded) • Can be used for displays during run and at after-run meeting • Initial system will be optimized for collaboration within control room • Users outside c.r. can possibly limit performance (at present) • This should be considered an ongoing development project

  3. Minor Control Room Modifications • Heating systems crew • Relocate air duct, EVEs alarm on screen wall • Install ceiling mounts, wiring for projectors • Install mount, wiring for display computer • Install screen • Install drops for Gbit cables (N. Galioto)
