The information is in metres and centimtres it will make it easier to work out if I change it all to one measurement. 20m = 2000cm What operation is the question asking us to use? subtration What will the calculation look like? 2000 - 150 What is the answer, with the unit as well? 1850 cm or 18.5m
There are 3 balls of cotton. Each of pieces of cotton are 3 metres long. How many cm of string are there altogether? The information is in metres, the answer need to be in cm, so we need to covert the information first. 3m = 300cm What operation is the question asking us to use? multiplication What will the calculation look like? 3 x 300 What is the answer, with the unit as well? 900 cm
There are 3 rolls of wrapping paper. Each roll has 1.5 m of wrapping paper on it. How many cm is there of wrapping paper altogether?
