Choreography The Get-Ins and Get-Outs that are placed on the slides are there for a reference. These modules create the proper visual for your screen, if there are suggested modules that will produce the same “station” there will be a link beside them entitled “More”. The “More” modules may not look exactly like the “pictogram” from the slide, but will be an equivalent of the location.

Formation 3 1 2 3 2 4 1 4 • Example: Facing Lines can be looked at as being either two lines or as two boxes. CRaMS can be used with many formations, in this presentation we will focus on the “two lines” and the “two boxes” of Facing Lines.

Sequence Dancers are “in sequence” when their numbers increase in the: • Counter-Clockwise (CCW) Direction • Promenade Direction • Couple Number Direction • All of the above are saying the same thing There are four possible sequence states: • 1- Boys are CCW/Girls are CCW (In/In) • 2- Boys are CW/Girls are CW (Out/Out) • 3- Boys are CCW/Girls are CW (In/Out) • 4- Boys are CW/Girls are CCW (Out/In)
Sequence 3 1 2 3 2 4 1 4 • Example: Partner lines are considered “In sequence” when the ends are facing their corner. CRaMS works with any sequence state, in this presentation we will focus on the state of the boys as counted in a CCW direction.

Basic Tools • The basic tool set in this presentation is used to help with “Identification” • Two Ladies Chain (relationship changer) • Right & Left Thru (sequence changer) • Equivalents of these “tools” are valuable for creating “variety” in calling • The next CRaMS presentation will focus on “Conversion” which will give you the ability to freely move from one location to another and will contain additional tools called “Conversion Modules” also known as “Magic Modules”

Stations For illustration and for a reference we need to label all the possible “0” arrangement facing lines. • There are 16 possible “0” arrangement facing lines Half of these lines are “primary” and half are “secondary” • Two Ladies Chain or an equivalent will change between primary and secondary Primary and secondary lines are sub-divided by “sequence” • Right & Left Thru or an equivalent will change sequence We will call each of these possible lines “stations”

There are only four “Partner”, four “Corner”, four “Opposite”, and four “Right Hand Lady” If you look at a “Partner” relationship for an example, using only our two “tools” you can make “four” of the 16 possible stations, the same is true for the other relationships.
Primary Stations These stations are lines of four that have the same FASR state on each half of the line. • The left side of the line has the same “physical relationship” as the right side of the line. • Example: If one couple has the Corner, they all have the Corner, etc. The “lines” and “boxes” have the same FASR states. Primary stations will have a different “visual relationship” for the centers and for the ends. • If the ends are facing one relationship, the centers will be facing a different relationship and vice versa. • Example: If the ends are facing their Corner, the centers will not be facing their Corner.

Secondary Stations These stations are lines of four where one half of the line assumes one FASR state, while the other half assumes another. • The left side of line will have one “physical relationship”, while the right side of the line will have another. • Example: If one couple is with their corner, the other couple in their line will not be, etc. The “lines” and “boxes” have different FASR states. Secondary stations will have the same “visual relationships” across the line for everybody. • All dancers will be facing the same relationships. • Example: If one dancer is looking at the corner they all are looking at the corner, etc.
