Our Aim • Our Aim is to make a can balance at a 40 degree angle and make sure it is stable and has hardly any chance of falling down.
Apparatus • A family member/ A friend • 2 empty cans • 100 ml of water • A table
Method 1st. Make sure that both of your cans have no liquid inside them. 2nd. Secretly add 100ml of water in one of the cans and keep it near you. 3rd. Bring your family member or friend over and challenge them to make the empty can balance at a 40 degree angle. 4th.After your friend has given up, bring your can and show your friend how easy it is.
Conclusion • I saw that when I put the coke can in a 40 degree angle, it moved around a bit but then it stood still in a bizarre way. I also saw that when the can was at a different angle it stayed still and did not move around unless hit by force.
Explanation • The water in the can has a middle point which is stable if not moved around. When the can was on an 40 degree angle it was finding its middle point and when it did, it allowed the can to stay in that position for as long and you want.
