Description Robust Adaptive Topology Control (RATC) is the use of the grid topology as an active control resource to help manage risks and avoid costs associated with random occurrences of a sudden loss of renewable generation, cascading events and malicious attacks. The R&D tasks will span three major steps: Development of RATC algorithm, often termed Data Analytics Study of Implementation and demonstration requirements offering a basis for commercial deployment Evaluation of solution performance based on a widely accepted benefits metric
Goal • RATC Features: - Robust - Adaptive - Topology - Control • Outcomes: - Renewables - Cost - Reliability
