Happy Halloween!. What’s Been Happening at Avery?. Grade 6 Camp. Grade 6 camp this year was a great success! We had gorgeous weather and all the kids had a great time. Big thank you to all the students that took part, and the teachers who made it all happen!. Terry Fox 2011.

  3. Grade 6 Camp Grade 6 camp this year was a great success! We had gorgeous weather and all the kids had a great time. Big thank you to all the students that took part, and the teachers who made it all happen!

  4. Terry Fox 2011 • The 2011 Terry Fox Run/Walk was a huge success! • As a school we raised $595.00 towards the Marathon of Hope. • Special thanks to Katelynn & Daniel for being this years top fundraisers.

  16. Did We Reach Our School Goal? UNICEF • Friday is the last day to donate change to your classroom jars!! • Listen for upcoming announcements for the winning class, and our school grand total raised for UNICEF.

  17. Avery’sGotSpirit! • Each classroom teacher has preselected a student to represent their class. • All of Avery’s 16 classrooms have been divided into 4 teams: The Thrillers, Team Awesome, The Dream Team and Can’t Touch This. • Every assembly will involve a fun challenge for the teams to compete in. • New students will be chosen by their teachers to participate each time.

  18. The MummyChallenge • Eachgroupwill be given 2 rolls of toilet paper and some tape. • They will then be given 3 minutes to mummify one of its member being sure not to cover his/her eyes, nose or mouth. • At the end of the 3 minutes, our now mummified student must do their best mummy walks for the judges. • Our judges will determine which group created the most realistic looking and moving mummy, and they will be named our winner. • The winning group will receive Halloween treats for each of their homeroom classes.
