How Construction Training In Brisbane Turned Me Into A Landscaper! My family has been in the construction industry for generations, which is why it was no surprise when I decided to go down the same path. I signed up for construction training in Brisbane and I was learning all about how to construct solid structures such as buildings, decks, patios and pathways. I was even learning about how to incorporate plumbing related features and electrical wiring into solid structures. While I was earning my certification in construction, I landed an apprentice job with a landscaper my family often worked with. The job was to help build a patio and put in a retaining wall, around which an entire garden had been planned. Most of the people working on the site had a Certificate III in Landscape Construction, which meant that they knew exactly what needed to be done. I was supposed to help with the construction aspect, but I couldn’t help noticing how stunning the garden design was. Just looking at it all, I could see what a gorgeous garden it would eventually be and that is when I realised that I was meant to be a landscaper! Within weeks, I was going about earning my own Cert 3 Landscape Construction and with a year, I was designing my very own garden project. Through my course classes, I had learnt all about plants, soil, water, what kind of conditions needed to be created for proper plant growth and so on. And in no time at all, I was designing and creating gardens, all over town!
