  5. All the proceeds from this event will benefit thePediatric Brain Tumor Foundation “Ride For Kids”, which will help to find a cure and also help those children that have been stricken by this deadly form of Brain Cancer.

Facts About Pediatric Brain Tumors • 28,000 children in the U.S. are living with the diagnosis of a primary brain tumor. • Each year 3,700 more children (that’s 10 per day) are diagnosed with pediatric brain tumors – in the U.S alone! • 76 % of the children diagnosed with brain tumors are younger than 15 years old. • Brain tumors are the deadliest form of childhood cancer.

Additional Facts • There are 130 different types of brain tumors, making diagnosis and treatment very difficult. • Children’s brain tumors require specific research and different treatments. • Brain tumors are located in children’s control center of thought, emotional and movement, often resulting in long term side effects. • Survivors can have physical, learning and emotional challenges that will limit the quality of their lives into adulthood.
