Inthishierarchyoffolders,youcaneithermoveandcopyfilesamongfolders.Youmayevendeleteitif younolongerneedthem. WindowsXPmakessurethatitiseasytoorganizeyourfilesandfolders.Managingyourfilesandfolders issimilartoworkinginanofficeandfilingyourfoldersinafilingcabinet.Youcancreatenewfolders,move folders,renamefolders,anddeletefolders. TheRecycleBinhasanoptiontoemptyitandtheDesktophasaNewoptionthatisusedtocreatenew files. AnotheradvantageofusingWindowsXPisthatitprovidesotheroptionstorepresentafileorfolderina screen.Italsoallowsyoutosortfilesintheorderyouwantthemto. Thedifferentwaystoviewfilesandfoldersare: Tiles–Thistypeofviewusesalargeiconlabeledwithitsnamerepresentingthefileorthefolder. OfficeProductivityTools1 Youcanalsomoveandcopyfilesandfoldersintootherfoldersordrive.Movingandcopyingaretwo commonfunctionsyouneedtoperformwhilemanagingfiles.Youphysicallyremoveafilewhenyoumove itfromonelocationandplaceittoanotherlocation.Youmakeacopyofanobjectwhenyoucopyafileor folderandplacethecopyinanotherlocation.Copyingafilemakestheoriginalfileremainsinplace.You canmoveandcopyfilesandfoldersindifferentways.
