New Knowledge Physical & human processes Key question New Knowledge: Activity 1: Revision • This assessment has four sections • Key term knowledge • Development differences • Identifying theories – The decision • Your opinion • Task 1: In pairs • Divide a page in half – • On one side write down as many key terms for this topic as you can think of • On the other write down as many different reasons for children having different experiences around the world (development differences) • Task 2: Swap your page with another pair , can you – • Define the key terms • Explain the differences they have written

New knowledge Physical & human processes Key question New Knowledge: Activity 2: The Decision • The decision will give you a story about someone’s life • You must decide what Brian’s biological theory and Sophie's’ social theory would say about this persons life. • You must use case study specific examples to support your argument • In this assessment you will find out about Josiane and you will be asked… • What would Brian say about Josiane’s life? Give other case study examples to support Brian’s opinion • What would Sophie say about Josianes life? Give case study examples for Sophie’s opinion. • Which theory (Brian or Sophie’s) do you agree with? Why? Use located case study examples Task: Find two examples from our case studies that support Brian’s theory and make brief revision notes. Repeat for Sophie.
