  2. Recovering a deleted file from your computer Many times it might have happened that you have accidentally deleted a file which you do not want to but these files can be recovered easily. You have to act fast to recover the deleted file. There are various method through which you can recover important data easily. You have to follow some simple steps:

  3. Step 1 First thing that can be done is to just check out your recycle bin to see that the file is still there or not. The recycle bin holds the deleted files which can be restored again if the files are accidentally deleted or in case you changed your mind to restore that file. To restore a particular file, the recycle bin is to be opened and right click on the file and then select restore. The file will return to its position in the hard drive.

  4. Step 2 Stop accessing the drive. If the file is not found in the recycle bin, don’t save and delete anything on the computer. Better chances of recovering the file will be there if you don’t save anything.

  5. Step 3 A program can be downloaded for data recovery on another computer or another drive. Be careful that you do not save the program on the drive from where you are trying to recover the deleted file. Recuva, Galary Undelete, MiniTool Partition Recovery, Puran File Recovery are some of the programs which can be downloaded free from the internet.

  6. Step 4 The downloaded recovery file program is to be run and start following the basic steps. Step 5 Be precise about your search. Make sure that the file is being searched on the specific disk by the recovery program. File type, name and date of creation can be specified and will be helpful in recovering the lost file.

  7. Step 6 When the program finishes its scanning, you should look through the result list to check out if your file is included in it. If it is found then the file is to be selected and click on the restore button.
