  4. I) Pre- Delivery Process • Assist in Table Sorting • Do Beat Sorting • Do Beat Arrangement as per Route Map • Prepare delivery slip in Postman & Speednet

  5. Table Sorting

  6. Beat sorting • All the postman should do Beat sorting work on turn by turn basis. • The postmen deployed for beat sorting work should complete the job one hour before the postman leave for delivery so as to facilitate necessary documentation and completion of all procedures in time. (Directorate letter No.25-20/2008-PE-I dt 17.4.12)

  7. Beat arrangement • Process of arranging the articles, as per the route map, by the postmen before proceeding for delivery

  8. II) Delivery Process • Proceed to delivery in time • Proceed as per your Route Map • Deliver the articles promptly

  9. III) Post Delivery Process • Submit returns promptly • Update returns in Postman & Speednet

  10. Additional Duties of a Postman • Assist in preparing beat list and route map • Collect/Remit cash from/to subordinate offices • Clear LBs other than office LB • Collection of articles on the beat Refer to Directorate Ltr No.25-20/2008-PE.I dated 25/11/08

  11. Additional Duties (cont..) • Procure PLI/RPLI business • Assist the Treasurer in making currency bundles • Assist in PLI/RPLI data entry • Other official duties assigned by your Post master Refer to Directorate Ltr No.25-20/2008-PE.I dated 25/11/08
