  3. Why is it so important in art? • Appeals to our sense of touch • It can quickly evoke memories and emotions. • You don’t need to touch a baby’s skin to know its silky smooth and soft.

  5. About Scratchboard • Scratchboard is a technique where the artist scratches away ink to reveal a colorunderneath. • Scratchboardforces the artistto think in reverse to pull the image from the surface. • It is an etching, subtractive technique.
