Events happened after the October meeting • Mail discussion • Peter proposed to improve the pin Voltage/Reset/Ground allocation and go to new 5-row connector • Richard proposed to use high-current capacity H11 connector • Guido Haefeli (Lausanne, EPFL) confirmed that the backplane could be optimised • The proposals were refused because of incompatibility with the TELL1 boards and general agreement that the TELL1 backplane (even not being the best possible) should satisfy our needs VF

Meeting with WIENER (13.12.10) • Good reception of our specification • The only problem they see is our requirement on the decoupling of the AGND of pins 21 from AGND of pins 26-28(on control side all power supplies have the same ground, the ground difference more than 5V is unacceptable) • The proposal is to foresee on the power supply side of the backplane a solid contact which allow to connect the AGND of pins 21 to AGND of pins 26-28 in case of necessity VF

  5. Next common order of Wiener equipment • Will take place early next year. The deadline for the user request is fixed to January 15 2011. • To be included in this order we have to receive a quotation from WIENER before • If we agree with modified specification, it can be sent immediately • There is a preliminary agreement with the WIENER on rapid quotation • In the best case scenario (we receive the quotation and order the unit before the January 15) the first crate can be delivered in April VF
