Outward Journey: Stansted – Dresden (via Cologne) Flight No. 4U0355 Depart Stansted: 07:55 Arrive Cologne: 10.05 Flight No. 4U0022 Depart Cologne: 14.05 Arrive Dresden: 15.10 Return Journey: Stuttgart - Stansted Flight No. 4U2378 Dep. 19:05 (local time) Arrive Stansted: 19:35 • Luggage • 1 item of hand luggage • (no larger than 55 x 40 x 20 cm / 8kg) • 1 checked item (suitcase or similar) • (no heavier than 20kg = large surcharge!!) • Liquids • No more than 100ml containers in hand baggage • Stored in a clear bag • Medicines - note to prove use

Outward journey: Thursday 5th July 2012 • Meet in bus park at side of school • Arrive promptly for 4.15 am (coach arriving 4.30 am) • Flight will not wait! • Return journey: Sunday 15th July 2012 • Flight arrives at Stansted around 7.30 pm • Meet in bus park at side of school for approx 9.30 pm (we will advise your son/daughter to text when we are around half an hour from school).

  4. Itinerary (may be subject to change) Thu 5 July Arrive Dresden – stay at youth hostel. Fri 6 July Tour of Dresden, then travel to school in Adelsheim. Students meet exchange partners. Mon 9 July Tour of Adelsheim, then L5 & L6 in school. Tues 10 July Trip to Heidelberg. Wed 11 July Lessons in school, finishing at lunchtime. Thu 12 July Trip to Dachau (one of the first concentration camps, located near Munich). Fri 13 July Lessons in school, finishing at lunchtime. Sat 14 July With host family. Sun 15 July Depart for Stuttgart Airport 3pm – return home.

  5. Safety procedures • Students should comply with all safety regulations demanded by coach and air travel companies. • Students should remain in small groups at all times when out on day trips. • Emergency contact number for use by students/parents: • 07887 577920 • (Note for parents: for emergencies in the first instance please call school during school hours on 01449 613541).

  6. What items would you suggest bringing? Passport and EHIC card (absolutely essential!) Practical clothing/footwear (for tours), sports/swimwear Towel for use at youth hostel, Dresden Spending money Small gift for host family Please note: If students intend to bring items of personal value (phones, mp3 players, cameras, etc) they must be responsible for these items at all times. Check that phones can be used abroad.
