Promotion Policy • To be a 10th Grader • Pass one English • Pass one math • Have a total of 5 credits • To be an 11th Grader • Pass two Englishes • Pass two maths • Have a total of 11 credits • To be a 12th Grader • Pass three Englishes • Pass three maths • Have a total of 17 credits
HIGH SCHOOL DIPLOMA REQUIREMENTS English 4 credits Math 4 credits Science 3 credits U.S. History 1 credit Economics ½ credit Government ½ credit Other Social Studies 1 credit P.E. or ROTC 1 credit Computer Applications 1 credit Foreign Language or Occupational Spec 1 credit Electives 7 credits Total 24 credits *All students must pass the HSAP high school exit exam to receive a high school diploma.
SC Scholarships • Hope Scholarship • 3.0 GPA (weighted) • up to $2,800 including $300 book allowance for eligible four-year college • can be eligible for Life Scholarship after one year with a 3.0 GPA • Life Scholarship(at least two of the following three) • 24 ACT/1100 SAT • 3.0 GPA (weighted) • top 30% of graduating class • up to $5,000 each year • additional $2,500 for math and science majors beginning 2nd year • Palmetto Fellows • 27 ACT/1200 SAT • 3.5 GPA (weighted) at end of 11th grade • top 6% of 10th- or 11th-grade class • up to $6,700 the 1st year ($7,500 2nd, 3rd, & 4th years) • additional $2,500 for math and science majors beginning 2nd year
