  2. Geography of Massachusetts • My state is located in Northeast US. • The highest point is Mt. Greylock • It’s elevation is 3,491 feet. • It is bordered by the following states: • Connecticut, • New Hampshire, • New York, • Rhode Island, and • Vermont

  3. Capital and 3 Cities • The capital of Massachusetts is Boston. • Boston islocated in the East part of the state. • Massachusetts has a population of 6,349,097. • Threecities in Massachusetts are – • Sandwich Town • Salem City • Springfield City

  5. Famous People • Eli Whitney was an inventor. He invented the cotton gin. • Dr. Seusswas an author and an illustrator. He is best known for the kids story, The Cat in the Hat. • John F. Kennedy was a U.S. President. He was the 35th President.

  6. Natural Resources • Massachusetts has a complex ecosystem of rivers, lakes, estuaries, salt marshes and other habitats for plants, animals and marine life. • Glacial stones and boulders such as granite and marble are quarried in the state.

Other sports are free admission.
