Proceed west on Hillside Avenue to Edgerton Boulevard. Turn right and proceed up the hill two blocks; the Retreat House is on the right. By Train from New York City, Penn Station (34th Street & Seventh Avenue): Long Island Railroad to Jamaica Station, Sutphin Blvd. By Car from the Bronx and Westchester: Take I95 South to the Throgs Neck Bridge (toll). Continue onto Clearview Expressway (I295) South. Stay on Clearview Expressway to end. Turn right onto Hillside Avenue. Travel approximately 1.6 miles to Edgerton Boulevard. Turn right and proceed up the hill two blocks. The Retreat House is on the right. By car from the East: Proceed west on the Grand Central Parkway; exit at 188th Street. Turn left and proceed to Hillside Avenue. Turn right and proceed to Edgerton Boulevard (178th St.). Turn right and proceed up the hill two blocks; the Retreat House is on the right. By car from the West:Proceed east on the Grand Central Parkway, exit at Utopia Parkway; proceed through the light (500 ft.) and bear right onto Edgerton Boulevard, proceed four blocks; the Retreat House is on the left Long Island Expressway by car: Take the LIE to the Utopia Parkway exit; go south on Utopia Parkway for about a mile and a half. Make a left immediately under the Grand Central Parkway and bear right onto Edgerton Blvd.; proceed four blocks; the Retreat House is on your left.
