  6. Why did it form here? • Sheltered in the bay of Bengal • The river is slowing down here • The incoming tides push back river and sediment…It is an assortment of mini river channels and braids….   7. What is a river delta? BE READY TO PLAY READY STEADY DELTA….. • Read through the attached worksheet which explains the delta’s formation. • Imagine you have to explain it to year 5s. READY STEADY DELTA • You have a choice of draw a flick cartoon (visual), or write a rap, song or poem (auditory) of the delta’s formation (it could be‘in the style of…see example of Barry Manilow’s ‘her name was Delta…’) • Both of these choices are kinaesthetic too.
