  2. Queen's is using a new payroll system- PeopleSoft. It means a number of things but the most important ones are:

  3. You will receive an online "contract" • Certain number of hours • Per hour pay

  4. When your contract is pending… • No SOLUS access • Staying away from 1st September

  5. The total stipend is 4% higher than you see it listed on in your contract • PeopleSoft automatically adds 4% vacation pay to your salary and so when the contracts are entered into the system, • All numbers are before taxes • EI problems solved

  6. The standard hours are an estimated number based on your full stipend that was provided by me ("the employer")

  7. All MCRC employees are paid to do their jobs and not on an hourly rate, so the final stipend is the only thing that matters. • You are expected to do your job, regardless of the hours it takes, as set forth by your employment contracts.

  8. You need to "accept" these contracts by Sunday, 26th August for the September payroll (to be deposited Sept 31st). • You only need to accept one contract for the whole 8 months (we won’t do this every month).
