What Happens When I Don’t Follow the Rules? Consequences First Time: Warning Second Time: 2 Minutes After Class Third Time: Phone Call Home\After-School Detention Fourth Time: Referral to Office Severe\Defiance: Immediate Referral to Office

Active Listening Procedures • 1) Look at the speaker – eyes and body facing the speaker. • 2) Give your undivided attention – don’t shuffle papers or fidget. • 3) Remain seated. • 4) Listen with your eyes, ears, and heart.
Direct Instruction • 1) Have all materials ready (pen, pencil, paper, and textbook). • 2) Practice Active Listening (Your eyes, your hands, your ears and your heart. • 3) Remain seated. • 4) Raise your hand for questions or comments.
Cooperative Group Procedures • 1) Work and talk with only your group members. • 2) Use a regular 12” voice and take turns speaking. • 3) Each member is responsible for contributing to the group effort. • 4) Ask three before me.
