Get ready to go….What needs to be done BEFORE stepping onto the field • Eligibility Center • Academic Certification: Final Qualifier • Amateurism Certification: Final Certified • Athletic Training Room-Medical Forms • NCAA Compliance Forms
Eligibility Center • Register at www.eligibilitycenter.org • COMPLETE registration process • Answer all questions on the amateurism questionnaire • Pay • Submit transcripts from ALL high schools attended • Submit final transcript with proof of graduation from current high school • SAT scores must be sent in electronically via www.collegeboard.com • Eligibility Center Code is 9999 • Request for Final Amateurism Certification • Receive final certifications • Academic – Final Qualifier • Amateurism – Final: Certified Read all emails from the Eligibility Center and follow-up with any concerns or issues they may have.

NCAA Compliance Forms • NCAA Student Athlete Statement Form • NCAA Drug Testing Form • NCAA HIPPA Form • WCU FERPA Release (medical/discipline) • PSAC Sportsmanship Pledge Will be sent around August 1st to your WCU email address.
Drug Testing • The NCAA conducts random drug testing each year on campus and possibly at championships • All Student-Athletes required to submit to testing or lose eligibility • WCU Athletics is working on a departmental policy to be rolled out in the Fall • ADHD medical exception: • MUST provide significant documentation for an exception. • Students allowed to participate while taking this medication, BUT should begin to acquire the information needed for an exception.
