  34. What’s going to happen • All existing tenants within Australia will be moved. Customers outside the service area will not be moved. • There is no change to functionality or user interface. Only a change in data location. • Microsoft is working hard to make this move easy. They will provide transparency on TechNet and predictability with details in the Message Center. • There’s nothing you have to do, MS will take care of it. • - Email will continue to work during the move. • - SharePoint will be read-only for between a few minutes and a few hours outside normal working hours. • - Lync will continue to work. • 5. MS cannot change your move date. Customers are grouped in batches of thousands and cannot be separated. • 6. More details and FAQ at http://aka.ms/move

  35. Options if you need them • Do nothing, be migrated with Microsoft move program • There’s nothing to do, MS will take care of it. Email will continue to work during the move. • SharePoint will be read-only for between a few minutes and a few hours outside normal working hours. • MS cannot change your move date. 1 Recommended Option • Apply for the early adopter program to be moved early • Runs March through August 2015. • Customers on the beta are fully supported but don’t necessarily get 6 weeks notice of their move. • We need to choose certain beta customers that meet certain attributes. Not all customers will be eligible. 2 • You can request to not be moved and to stay in the Asia Pacific region • Your data will stay in Singapore and Hong Kong. • Request via Support more than 4 weeks before their scheduled move. • We can not move customers later who ask not to be moved. 3

  40. Move timeline detail for one tenant • Watch for the message center notification 6 weeks prior to the cut over • For Internet site filtering, check IP address exceptions. Updated Nov 27, 2014 • Trial tenant for temporary testing in the new datacenter. Cannot merge this • Tell your users about the cutover window details • Optionally sign up for the early adopter program • Optionally ask to not be moved. Cannot ask for a new date. This can be done up to 4 weeks prior to cut-over. • Read the move FAQ http://aka.ms/move • Final sync of changed data since data transfer • Overnight or in a weekend and will take between minutes to hours for each tenant. • Exchange Online will work as expected. Specific actions will not work for users in multiple resource forests. These actions will include Outlook Web App calendar delegation, legal hold search, Unified Messaging prompts, Outlook Address Book, Public Folders, Modern groups. • SharePoint Online sites will be read only. • Lync Online newly added contacts and meetings will be missing. • A message center notice will indicate that the move is completed • Call support if any problems • No action is required. Microsoft will copy the customers data to the new datacenters • Data is copied across Microsoft networks • We will provide a message center post after this is complete and tested
