  1. Computers By Abigail Stephanie and Eleanor

  2. Computers come in all different shapes and sizes.

  3. learn • As we said, computers come in all different shapes and sizes. • Did you know that phones, I pads and tablets are all just different types of computers!

  4. history First programmable computer, the Z1 was created by German Konrad Zuse in his parents living room, between 1936 and 1938. It is considered to be the first electromechanical binary programmable computer, and the first really functional modern computer. The computer has changed over time. SEE !

  5. Saving information • At the core of the computer is the CPU (central processing unit), the source of control; it is the component that runs all programs and instructions. In order to function, computers use two types of memory: primary and secondary. Main memory is primary storage; data and programs are stored in secondary storage.

  6. The computer brain The computer does its primary work in a part of the machine we cannot see, a control center that converts data input to information output. This control center, called the central processing unit (CPU), is a highly complex, extensive set of electronic circuitry that executes stored program instructions.

  7. The laptop • Who Invented the Laptop? The laptop computer revolutionized the way people work and travel nearly as much as the original computer did. Alan Kay, who worked for Xerox PARC, first created the concept for the laptop computer. He referred to it as the Dynabook

  8. Time! • The Iphone was released the 29 June 2007. • By late 2009, the iPad's release had been rumored for several years. Such speculation mostly talked about "Apple's tablet"; specific names included iTablet and iSlate. The iPad was announced on January 27, 2010, by Steve Jobs at an Apple press conference at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts in San Francisco. • It used the Windows XP Tablet operating system. Unlike today, Microsoft didn't manufacture the tablet itself. Lenovo produced the tablet in 2000 and other partners, like Fujitsu, made the XP tablet in 2002

  9. The keyboard • Christopher Latham Sholes. Christopher Latham Sholes (February 14, 1819 – February 17, 1890) was an American inventor who invented the QWERTY keyboard, and along with Frank Haven Hall, Samuel W. Soule, Carlos Gladden and John Pratt, has been contended as one of the inventors of the first typewriter in the United States . QWERTY is a keyboard layout for Latin script. The name comes from the order of the first six ... Sholes struggled for the next five years to perfect his invention, making many trial-and-error rearrangements of the ..... The Brazilian computer keyboard layout is specified in the ABNT NBR 10346 variant 2 (alphanumeric portion) .. You can see the name on the keyboard IN ORDER !!!!!.
