How we started subcontracting Prior to minimum contract values being implemented in 2011, SEK held a direct contract with the SFA for £324k We needed to overcome the £500,000 contract threshold 4 providers signed their contract over to SEK on the basis that it would be subcontracted back to them

  3. Our new provision Our contract with the SFA increased to £1.7m on 1st August 2011 (the largest percentage increase in the country) and again to £2m by Christmas 2011 Train to gain became other workplace learning, Adult Apprenticeships and 16-18 Apprenticeships. From SSA 1 and 14 to SSA’s 1, 4, 5, 6, 7, 14, and 15

  4. How we operate The key person from each organisation forms the management committee of the consortium But SEK retains overall control Collaborative working to ensure the quality of provision is high across all providers and overall contract value is met

  9. The inspection 18th January 09:30 – The call from Ofsted By lunchtime the Lead Inspector had called outlining the inspection and the key lines of enquiry Is SEK still a good provider?
