*CALL TO WORSHIP (unison) God forgives all our transgressions, all diseases gently heals; God redeems us from destruction, and with us so kindly deals. As it was without beginning, so it lasts without an end;
To our children’s children ever shall God’s righteousness extend.Here we are to sing God’s praises, share the hymns and then to pray.Help us to be more loving and know that we are loved this day.
SCRIPTURE READING: Colossians 3:12-17
As God’s chosen ones, holy and beloved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, meekness, and patience. Bear with one another and, if anyone has a complaint against one another, forgive each other;
just as the Lord has forgiven you, so you also must forgive. Above all, clothe yourselves with love, which binds everything together in perfect harmony. And let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in the one body.
And be thankful. Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly; teach and admonish one another in all wisdom; and with gratitude in your hearts sing psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs to God. And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the
name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.

PROCLAIMING THE WORD SCRIPTURE READING: Psalm 32 (fromThe Message)
Count yourself lucky, how happy you must be – you get a fresh start, your slate’s wiped clean. Count yourself lucky – God holds nothing against you and you’re holding nothing back from God. When I kept it all inside, my bones turned to powder,
my words became daylong groans. The pressure never let up; all the juices of my life dried up. Then I let it all out; I said, “I’ll make a clean breast of my failures to God.” Suddenly the pressure was gone – my guilt dissolved, my sin disappeared.
These things add up. Every one of us needs to pray; when all hell breaks loose and the dam bursts we’ll be on high ground, untouched. God’s my island hideaway, keeps danger far from the shore, throws garlands of hosannas around my neck.
Let me give you some good advice; I’m looking you in the eye and giving it to you straight: “Don’t be ornery like a horse or mule that needs bit and bridle to stay on track.” God-defiers are always in trouble; God-affirmers find themselves loved
every time they turn around. Celebrate God. Sing together – everyone! All you honest hearts, raise the roof! L: This is the word of the Lord. P: Thanks be to God!
HYMN #265“Great God, We Sing that Mighty Hand” v.1 Great God, we sing that mighty handBy which supported still we stand;The opening year Your mercy shows;That mercy crowns it till it close.
HYMN #265“Great God, We Sing that Mighty Hand” v.2 With grateful hearts the past we own;The future, all to us unknown,We to You guardian care commit,And peaceful leave before Your feet.
HYMN #265“Great God, We Sing that Mighty Hand” v.3 In scenes exalted or depressed,You are our joy, and You our rest;Your goodness all our hopes shall raise,Adorned through all our changing days.
