  1. Basic Instruction:Creating the PresentationWorking with Clipart and Photos Developed by:Cara L. ClarkVisual Information Specialist

  2. Adding Clipart gives your presentation added interest. You can either create a slide using New Slide under Common Tasks

  3. Select the Text & Art Slide. As you click on a layout sample PowerPoint will tell you what type you are choosing.

  4. Double Click on the icon to insert clipart.

  5. Click on an image. Click Insert Choose from a variety of categories for your art.

  6. The clipart you chose is now inserted.

  7. You can add clipart in manually without having a specific slide or area.

  8. From the Insert drop down menu select Picture then Clip Art...

  9. Click on an image. Click Insert Choose from a variety of categories for your art.

  10. No you may place your clipart anywhere on your slide.

  11. To resize the clipart and hold its shape proportionately click on the art then select one corner dot. Hold down the Shift Key on your keyboard as you click, holding down yourleft mouse button drag, the art down to the size you want.

  12. To add pictures or clipart from another source or folder.

  13. From the insert drop down menu select Picture then select From File...

  14. Click Insert Go to the directory and folder where your picture is located and select it.

  15. Sizing your photo is done the same way you did the clipart.
