Multicasting Philosophy Content is King. We have the content. Our audiences have diverse interests. Multicasting allows us to better serveour local audiences. If we don’t do it, others will – but not with the quality contentwe have in our libraries.
Challenges of Multicasting • Rights Management • Server Space and Maintenance • Promotion • Tracking the Viewers
Rewards of Multicasting • Using Rights to the Fullest Extent • Serving Multiple Audiences Simultaneously • Tracking the Viewers • Providing Access to Programming That Would Otherwise Not Be Scheduled in My Market
