  1. Placental Abruption

  2. Pathophysiology • Small vessel rapture • Bleeding lifts placenta because uterus is unable to contract and control bleeding. • Further Haemorrhage dissects off chorio decidual space • Due to uterine contractions blood flows through membranes and uterine walls separating them. • Blood escape through vagina – revealed haemorrhage • Tissue Damage and blood clots thrombo plastin – escape into maternal circulation through open sinuses – activate coagulation mechanism – fibrinogen converted to fibrin. –

  3. other factors are also consumed causing consumption coaglopathy.- there is deficiency of factor 5,8 and 13 and plateless. Intra vascular coagulation fibrinoliases – FDP has anti thrombo effect and inhabit platelet aggregation. • Renal perfuson is decreased .actuate oliguria and proteinuria. So pathological features are hypofibrenogina and bilateral renal cortical and renal failure.

  4. Clinical Features • External Bleeding, pain, hard tender uterus. • Fetus is usually dead. • Hypovolemic Shock.
