  3. Back to Basics! • The shorter the time between miscue and intervention, the faster the extinction! • Translation- immediate feedback is best • How long between turn in and turn back? • Do you have a life outside school?

  4. More Basics • You know you are teaching, how do you know they are learning? • Madeline Hunter, 6 steps – learning? • How do you check for learning?

  5. Almost forgot • If a student doesn’t get it, what to do? • I am not the devil! • Do pacing guides make sense if nobody is getting it?

  6. Students • Do they know they did it wrong on the quiz before they take the test? • Can they be reinforced in time? • Can they say what they mean, not what they think their friends will say?

  7. Technology • Individual computers can provide this feedback • ILS packages • Etc • $30,000 plus the space and software • Does it match?
