Figure 3 depicts animals in nature with no particular story. The design of the lacquer work is rich in representations of the animal life intermingled amidst the vegetation. Small creatures are in general drawn more realistically than large ones. The effect of the composition gives a real sense of the tropical fauna intermingled with luxuriant flora. Animals are reproduced realistically or partly conventionalized, each of them drawn with their proper characterization.
Too Phra Dhamma at Wat Serngwai The activities of animals implied a happy life at that time. They were an analogy to the life of Thai people.
The three birds in the left side of the middle zone reflect a family life in which the father went out to find food for his family. Too Phra Dhamma at Wat Serngwai
