DIG Conference Gallaudet MPA Program
History • MPA Program established in 2012 • Mission statement: The Master of Public Administration Program prepares deaf, hard of hearing, and hearing professionals working in public sector and non-profit organizations to lead with a sense of direction, to focus on results, to develop others' capability to perform, and to serve with integrity.
Program design • Emphasis on direct communication to serve the needs of Deaf and hard of hearing students. • Outcomes designed to include standards developed by the National Association of Schools of Public Affairs and Administration (NASPAA). • 39 credit (2 year program).
Program • Approximately 30 students enrolled (2019-2020). • Graduates at work in public sector and non-profit world. • Students are a mix of working professionals and full time students.

Admissions Deadlines • MPA Program: • June 15 (BUT most department financial aid decisions are made by April 15 so apply before then). • We only admit for Fall semester but you can be a graduate special student if you want to start in the Spring.
