What’s the difference between a clinical license and EA certification? Employee Assistance Certification Commission The CEAP® is not meant to substitute for a clinical license. For licensed clinicians, the CEAP® supplements the license and demonstrates additional expertise in the three domains of EA practice. A clinical license demonstrates to your clients and the public that you have experience and expertise in some, but not all, aspects of EA domain 3. It is recognized only in the state in which it is issued. The CEAP® demonstrates that you have experience and expertise in all three EA domains of knowledge. It is recognized worldwide.
How Do I Get Started? Employee Assistance Certification Commission
What are the CEAP® candidate eligibility requirements? Employee Assistance Certification Commission • Documentation of at least 1000 hours of work experience (paid or internship) in an EAP setting. • Registration with EAPA as a CEAP® candidate. • Completion of the 3-hour online CEAP® Candidate Initial Training (CCIT) Course. • Completion of the required number of Professional Development Hours (PDHs) • 20 PDHs if you have a doctoral or masters level graduate degree; • 60 PDHs if you have a bachelors level degree.
