MASTER OF EDUCATION • The area’s only private university that’s both NCATE accredited and recognized by the Ontario Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities. College of Arts and Sciences GIS • Geographic Information Systems (GIS) is an advanced computer-based technology that utilizes spatial and attribute data to create a digital map that can contain many layers of geographic and descriptive information. It gives the user a new analytical perspective with which to view, query, interpret, and manipulate data. GIS technology is used widely in numerous fields and students with such training have a distinct advantage in the job market (see below). Faculty will find that such analysis adds a rich and insightful component to their research program
MA Interdisciplinary Studies • Interdisciplinary Studies is a 33 credit hour Master of Arts program of study with a diverse mix of courses, from methodological seminars to thematic courses, independent studies to internships. The 9 credit hours of foundational courses lead to a self-designed curriculum focused on a particular theme, problem, or mode of inquiry.
MASTER OF CRIMINAL JUSTICE • A traditional master’s program and the area’s only five-year, BS/MS program in Criminal Justice Administration lets Niagara meet the needs of both incoming freshmen and working professionals.
