  4. Total Economic Impact 2011-12

  5. Budget – Contracted ServicesMany districts contract for various services adding employment opportunities for others in the region. Over $112 million have been spent on these services.

  6. Budget - Payroll and health-related benefitsOver $1.2 billion spent in payroll and health-related benefits for all employees.

  7. Workforce Almost 30,000 individuals are employed in the surrounding school districts with 76% (with 22,753 of those employees) receiving benefits.

  8. Technology - UpgradesOver the last 5 years school districts have continued to upgrade their technology at a cost of over $168 million. This figure does not include employee salaries.
