Discipline System • Disruptive and disrespectful behavior will result in one or more of the following: • Teacher/student conference • Call home to parent(s) or guardian(s) • Demerits • Referral to administration disciplinary measures • Teacher/parent/student conference • Program removal for continued disruptive and disrespectful behavior

  5. Class Norms • Out-of-class pass: signed planner/sign-out sheet • Late=tardy 2 demerits (unless note from adult) • Exit and enter class slowly and respectfully

  6. Research-based READ 180 Model Most effective learning occurs at the beginning and end of learning cycles This model provides 5 cycles times 2 = 10 optimum times

Reading Center • Read a book at your lexile level • Fill out book log and reflection while reading • Place log and reflection in file • Place finished reflection in your portfolio • Do not disturb others during reading • Wind headphone chords to avoid tangling • Place carefully on shelf or in plastic container • Return all materials after use (books, CD players, headphones etc.) • Books remain in class unless approved by Mrs. Luna
