2 EURAXESS Rights • Everything researchers, their employers and funders should know about researchers' rights and obligations! • ~ 455 individual endorsements of theCharter & Code principles: They represent ~ 1,200 research institutions and funders from 35 countries in Europe (MS and AC) + 1 beyond (i.e. RU) + various International European Interest Organisations (e.g. CERN). • The ‘Human Resources Excellence in Research’ badge is awarded to institutions that have made significant progress in implementing the Charter & Code (so far 128 institutionsfrom 21 countries have been awarded, and more are in the pipeline). • The badge is displayed on adverts they publish on EURAXESS Jobs!
2 Why should you get involved andwhy is EURAXESS for you? 2 EURAXESS Rights • Pensions of researchers • What happens when researchers move? What can and cannot be transferred? What is regulated at EU level and what is regulated at national level? This can be found on EURAXESS Rights. • Entry conditions • Non-EU national (or "third country national”) researchers have several possibilities to enter the European Union for work. The Scientific Visa Package aims to facilitate third country researchers' entry conditions. The Blue Card Directive is more recent, and deals with the entry into the EU for the purposes of highly qualified employment. • This information iscomplemented and activelydealtwith by the EURAXESS Service Centres!
