4. Background & Objectives • English is taught as Literature in schools. • Learners have no idea about Listening Skills. • But, University prescribes development of Listening Comprehension. Objectives: • Enable learners to Listen effectively to GIE. • Enable them to use Bottom – up & Top – Down technique. • Enable them to listen to facial expressions.

6. Methods Teacher’s Work: • Setting up of Bottom – Up & Top – Down goals. • Selecting popular animation films. • Grading the targets andthe task. • Facilitating effective listening. • Motivate, prepare & contextualize the learners. • Distribution the Worksheets.

7. Methods Implementation Phase: • Listening Effectively to popular animation film. • Taking down flexible notes. • Answering questions individually. • Pairs or group work for discussion. • Guidance to improve listening skills • Role play as post – listening activity.

Results and Discussion Problems with Hollywood films: • Learners could hardly relate to Hollywood films. • Actions being fast paced, facts received are fragmented. • Dialogues are in American English not in GIE. • Unable to listen to the content words. • Context and emotional expression more alien. • More noisy.

15. Results and Discussion Advantages of Indian Animation Films: • No such problems with Indian animation films. • Funny presentations spark the learner’s imagination. • Help the listeners to moderate their personal ego. • Learners could remain free from emotional disturbances.
