Team Structure & Process • 12 community-based diagnostic teams across Alaska—1 specialty team at the Alaska Psychiatric Institute • All teams required to use the UW 4-digit diagnostic process • Teams trained at UW training program in Seattle • Team membership must include a trained Parent Navigator

  3. Team Structure & Process • All teams housed/developed within an established service delivery agency • Teams receiving state funding MUST complete and return data collection forms prior to payment • Teams funded primarily through Medicaid Reimbursement and State of Alaska Provider Agreements

Alaska’s Diagnostic Team Network Successes • Over 850 completed diagnoses since 2001 • Quality data collected and analyzed for each completed diagnosis (UAA Evaluation Team) • Increased reporting to Alaska’s Birth Defects & FAS Registry • Monthly support/TA calls available for all team members • Established 4-digit Diagnostic Process training in Alaska (Southcentral Foundation)
