  4. Volunteer Obligation… 5 hours per semester Did everyone receive & download the volunteer form?

To meet SCEC volunteer requirements… • Download the “Individual VSLC Time Sheet”http://www.ecu.edu/cs-studentlife/volunteer/studentforms.cfm • Keep up with your volunteer sheet!! • At the end of the semester, or as soon as you complete 5 volunteer hours, contact Lindsay: STUMPL08@students.ecu.eduto turn in your form.

If you want volunteer hours recorded on your official transcript… • You must register with the Volunteer and Service-Learning Center (VSLC) on-line by following the directions on the following website: http://www.ecu.edu/cs-studentlife/volunteer/studentforms.cfm • Download the “Individual VSLC Time Sheet” • You are responsible for keeping up with your volunteer hours & your sheet. • You are responsible for turning a copy of your sheet into the Volunteer Service Learning Center at the end of the semester

  7. Adapted Physical Education • Adapted PEhttp://pcsadaptedpe.weebly.com/volunteer.html*Visit website • Classes range from 30-45 minutes long, but with travel time, set-up, and clean-up every class will count as an hour.   • Email if interested: PCSAdaptedPE@gmail.com • No experience required

Pitt County Schools Low-Incidence Service Learning Does anyone still need to be added to this group on Facebook that is interested? • Create adapted materials for local classrooms • Volunteer in special education classrooms, working with kids • Lindsay will follow-up with email/Facebook communication

  9. SCEC Fall Social • Shopping • Food and Drinks Provided! • FREE and Open to Everyone! • Bring Friends! • Come meet some officers, members, and learn more about SCEC events. • Most importantly have fun! October 21st 6pm – 8pm Ann Taylor LOFT 505 Red Banks Road, Greenville, NC 27858

  10. Upcoming Events • Costume Party • October 24th 6-8pm (Wednesday) • CM Eppes Middle School • Holiday Dance • December 12th 6-8pm (Wednesday) • Volunteer hours are 4:30-8:30 to help set up and break down • CM Eppes Middle School

  11. Fundraising Events • Save your used Ink Cartridges • 10 ink cartridges = $20 certificate to Staples (use for adapted books and other club events materials) • Drop off to AT Lab (128 Rivers) or • Contact Lorenda for pick-up!

  12. Special Olympics Scentsy Warmer Raffle • Want to help SCEC sell tickets? • Are you interested in buying a ticket or two?  • Warmer supports Special Olympics, ticket sales support SCEC • $1 per ticket! • Ticket Sale Ends:  Oct. 29th and Raffle will be on Oct. 31st!

Service Project Part One: • Collect books for school distribution in Moore County at the NC CEC State Conference • All NC SCEC chapters are participating • Begin collecting books now!  Part Two • November 2nd -Adapting Books Event • AT Lab, Rivers building • Use funds raised from ink cartridges to buy materials at Staples

  15. Winter Social • Wednesday, December 5th 6:00-8:00pm • Tacky Holiday Sweater Party • More details to come…
