LGMS KEY PROCEDURES • ARRIVAL / DISMISSAL • School doors will be open at 7:00am; School begins at 7:30am; • If late parent must come in and sign the student in; • Transportation changes before 11:30am; • Bus stops changes must be made 2 weeks prior (Southwest/Southeast Transportation department.

LGMS KEY PROCEDURES • HALLWAY • 10-10 RULE- Student should stay in the classroom during the 1st 10 minutes and the last 10 minutes of each class. • To be on the hall, students should always have a pass • DRESSCODE •  Tights must be worn under pants w/ holes in them • No spaghetti straps; no midriffs or backs showing •  Shorts/skirts must pass the fingertip test • No slide-in shoes • No beltless, baggy pants

LGMS KEY PROCEDURES • MEDICATION •  No medication will be given without a doctor’s signature and an official DPS medical form. • No Students should carry medication in their book bags, lockers, etc. All medications must be given to the Nurse or front office staff; • All health records and shots must be completed within 30 days of student enrollment • Please let teacher know of any medical conditions (asthma, seizures, etc.)

  16. ATTENDANCE ABSENCES • Parent must call school; • Note must be brought in TARDIES • 3 tardies = written warning from administrator • 6+ = detention/retention TRUANCY COURT • Absence for 10 days w/o medical excuse

LGMS TEACHERS & STAFF COMMIT TO DO THE FOLLOWING: • Continuously Communicate w/ Parents • Develop a Student-Centered Classroom • Differentiate Instruction • Integrate Literacy Strategies Across Curriculum • Maintain Instructional / Academic Focus • Engage Students in Higher Level Thinking • Implement School Improvement Plan Initiatives • Continue to Learn & Grow

LGMS STUDENTS ARE EXPECTED TO COMMIT TO DO THE FOLLOWING: • Bringing all your materials to class. • Complete all classwork & homework assignments. • Be on time to all classes. • Always strive to be honest. • Treat others the way you would like to be treated. • Keep hands and feet to yourself.

WE ASK FOR LGMS PARENTS TO COMMIT TO THE FOLLOWING: • Get involved & volunteer with the PTO • Communicate with teachers & administrators • Check your son/daughter’s agenda nightly • Ensure your son/daughter reads at home • Provide him/her with a quiet workspace • Ask your son/daughter about his/her day • Encourage your son/daughter to get involved in extracurricular activities
