Initial Program Approval • Intent to Plan • Campus development and submission • Academic staff review • Chancellor approval • Program Proposal • Campus development and submission • Academic staff review/feedback • External expert review/feedback • Commission approval • Two years for implementation

  4. Post-Approval Audit • Three years after approval • Prescribed format • Report to Commission

  5. Five-Year Program Review • Statutory requirement and policy • Five year cycle determined by institution • Elements to be reviewed • External reviewer • Role of assessment • Board of Governors recommendation • Summary report to Commission

  6. Focused Program Review • Authority to conduct • Prior implementation

  7. Productivity Review • Biennial • Review: Enrollment and graduation • Probation for not meeting both standards • Probation term – 4 years • Recommendation to terminate or continue

  8. Graduate Program Review • Statutory requirement • Applicable to specific institutions • Process and report to Commission

  9. Program Termination • Result of Program Review/Productivity/other reason(s) • Requires approval of BOG • Plan for enrolled students • Notification to HEPC
