Edinburgh’s 3 CHP Projects • Pollock Halls: 526kWe engine serving student residences as lead boiler – 2003 • The King’s Buildings: 2.7MWe engine displaced old steam system + 2 new 7.5MW LTHW boilers serving high base load – 2004 • George Square: 1.6MWe engine again replaced steam system – plus 75 tonne Heat Store and 600kW Absorption Chiller to even out load – 2005
