Harrow Symphony Orchestra is Harrow’s own orchestra, founded in 1946. It encourages local musicians and gives them and their audiences the opportunity to enjoy and participate in orchestral music making. The orchestra performs three concerts each year and rehearsals continue throughout the year, providing members with a broad selection of musical experience. We are particularly proud that we have been able to put on concerts which have raised funds for local charities. We are very pleased to be continuing our project of playing the full cycle of Beethoven’s Symphonies. In previous seasons we performed Beethoven’s 1st , 7th and 8th Symphonies, and this season we are performing his 6th, 5th and4th .
