Goals • Educate early childhood education students on oral hygiene and the importance of prevention techniques • Identify healthy snacks, brushing techniques, etc. • Offer basic knowledge on oral health and teach students how to recognize oral health concerns • How to offer an oral health friendly child care
Rationale • It is much more efficient, cost effective, and healthy to prevent oral health problems than to treat them. We believe the best time for learning about howto prevent oral disease is during childhood. Early learning environments provide a unique opportunity to promote prevention and support for children’s oral health and overall health.
