Performing- Playing instruments As listening and singing skills improve, the child will be enabled to perform familiar tunes on a melodic instrument, such as the recorder or tin whistle, and by 5th and 6th class will have acquired sufficient knowledge and skill to attempt playing simple tunes from sight. (Teacher Guidelines p.8)
