Objective • Today we will be looking at the food guides from different countries. • By the end of the lesson you will be able to compare the amount and types of food we eat to the amount and type that is eaten in other countries. • You will be able to decide which food guide you like the best and why.

Activity • Get into your groups • Each will get a country • Create a meal plan for the day using the information from their food guides • Make sure to include the correct servings of each food group for the entire day
Homework • Write down all the food you ate today. • Figure out which food guide your diet follows most. • Write about whether you like following this food guide and if you would rather make a change. Explain why or why not.
Closure • Which food guide do you think is the best for healthy eating? Why? • Would you try following a different food guide instead of the American food guide? • What was the most interesting thing you learned from today?
