Steps to get a summer research internship • Search for research opportunities in areas of interest • Identify ~10 positions for which you qualify • Review the instructions carefully • Review the instructions AGAIN • Create and review your personal statement • Ask faculty for recommendations (others if the application permits) • Complete full applications as early as possible
